We’re Excited to Partner with Minnesota United Football Club!

If you don’t think a community bank and a professional soccer team would have many similarities, think again! Bell Bank has announced an exciting 10-year partnership with Minnesota United Football Club, Minnesota’s newest professional sports organization.

Michael Solberg, Bell’s president and CEO, says he and others knew as soon as they met Minnesota United’s staff that this partnership could be a great match for Bell Bank. Like Bell, Minnesota United:

  • Is privately owned by local owners who care about our region
  • Has a unique focus on rapid growth teamed with community impact
  • Focuses first and foremost on people and the greater good

That’s why Bell joins Allianz Life, Target and Allina Health as First Team Partners of Minnesota United soccer, with a branded presence at the soccer club’s new stadium, now under construction in St. Paul.

Bell Bank’s partnership with Minnesota United will be visible in the naming of the southwest gate at Allianz Field as Bell Bank Gate. This new partnership will be brought to life in even greater ways in the stadium and around the community.

“The success of our bank’s partnership with Minnesota United will be measured not by wins and losses, but by the people we impact along the way,” said Michael Solberg, president and CEO of Bell Bank. “Together, Bell Bank and Minnesota United plan to find even more ways to have that positive impact.”

Two in-game celebrations Bell and Minnesota United are excited about are the “Man of the Match” and “L’Etoile du Nord.” In an extension of Bell’s unique Pay It Forward program, one player will be chosen the Man of the Match for each game and awarded $1,000 to Pay It Forward to his favorite charity. Additionally, people who make a difference in the community will be highlighted at halftime of every home game and recognized as L’Etoiles du Nord (North Stars).

As part of the announcement of Bell as a First Team Partner, Michael Solberg presented the inaugural Man of the Match award to goalkeeper Matt Lampson, a cancer survivor.
