The best thing about mobile banking is you can bank whenever and wherever it works for you – even on vacation! Need to check your balance, deposit a check or pay a bill? With mobile banking, you can.
Here are 5 of the best mobile features to use on vacation this summer.
If you don’t have it yet, install the Bell Bank mobile app on your smartphone. You can use it to check your balance, pay bills, transfer funds between your accounts – even deposit a check with your smartphone.

With CardValet® *, you can receive alerts whenever your Bell Bank debit card is used, approved or exceeds the transaction controls you set. You can set controls on spending limits, merchant types, transaction types and geographic locations.
If you receive a CardValet alert and something seems wrong, you can immediately turn your debit card off so it cannot be used. When you turn off your card, all transactions (except for recurring payments) will be denied until you turn your card back on.

If you have a Bell Bank checking account, we automatically refund your first 4 domestic ATM fees on your monthly bank statement. But did you know you also get unlimited free withdrawals at 32,000 MoneyPass ATMs nationwide? That’s a benefit that can really come in handy on vacation. Look for the MoneyPass logo, or download the free MoneyPass locator app.
Before you leave home, set up mobile banking alerts, so you can receive a notification whenever a transaction occurs, when your balance drops below a certain amount, or for potential security risks. It’s an easy way to track your accounts without even really thinking about it.
Here’s a video to show you how to set it up.
If you’re on vacation and you find you need to split an expense or pay someone back, Popmoney is a convenient way to do it. With Popmoney person-to-person payments, you can pay other people anywhere, anytime – right from the convenience of your smartphone. You can even use Popmoney to ask someone else to pay you back for a shared purchase.
Here’s how to pay someone with Popmoney.
Note: If you’re traveling abroad, make sure to let Bell know before you go, so we can “unblock” your debit card for that country. Otherwise, as a safety feature, our fraud system may flag your card and decline the transactions.
